email from a Soldier

Just had to share this email:

A SOLDIER DIED TODAY

He was getting old and paunchy
And his hair was falling fast,
And he sat around the Legion,
Telling stories of the past.

Of a war that he had fought in
And the deeds that he had done,
In his exploits with his buddies;
They were heroes, every one.

And 'tho sometimes to his neighbors
His tales became a joke,
All his Legion buddies listened
For they knew whereof he spoke
.
But we'll hear his tales no longer,
For old Bill has passed away,
And the world's a little poorer
For a soldier died today.

McCain Has The Answers Veterans Are Searching For

All our active duty military deserve the best Commander In Chief and veterans also deserve the best. McCain knows were he’s been and knows the way our country must go…

There is absolutely no debating the fact that with Senator McCain not voting for bills laced with pork and ear marks especially on bills for other veterans; he does put our country first.

If anyone bothered to read or listened to his words – they would already know he wants these billions in wasteful spending to go directly to Veterans Affairs.

Ever seen a UFO?

It seems UFO’s are reported more frequently these days. I believe the “snicker factor” has been falling at the same pace reports rise. The fear of people making sport of a citizen making such claims is less inhibiting. Five decades ago, when I was a youngster of eleven, (1958) my brother and I saw one. It was early summer at about ten in the morning. A beautiful, warm day in Amery, Wisconsin. Together, Jim and I stepped out of our house with a can of worms and our cane poles.
