Sticks and stones boy Joe, sticks and stones! I can say all of the same things about you, but as I remember I have in the past revealed you for who you really are. You call me warped and twisted but in all of my posts I have never said those things about you or your toadies, although I could if I applied your logic on you. When you grow up and stop being so juvenile in your apporach to life in this world you will understand people like me. You started this forum to warn us uneducated people that the end is coming. Yes it is, and there are forces at work that you allude to but can't quite recognize. When the superman rises to power that is coming to save the world you will give allegience to him like everyone else. If you think I'm warped and twisted just wait!
For all of the posturing you do and the anti-christian sentiments you and your todies post I can't help but realize that all of you are simply pawns in the game. I do have compassion and empathy for others and a simple cursory reading of my posts reveals it. I don't hold such an unassialable postion, nor do I choose to think all that highly of myself, and you can simply think of me as the pawn of the very God you have mentioned and rejected, for that is what I am. So I say to you sir: "Get out of your head and stop embarrasing yourself publicly."

If you can remember back to the beginning, that is how this all began. People trying to discuss issues, like three hundred blog posts ago, and every time a dialogue started with some intelligent thoughts and questions about politics, economics, current events or anything else, someone popped in with a bit of the 'ole "bible thumping, I'll pray for you, Bless you, Have Faith-God is the answer to everything" BLATHER (nice word, sir)... and if any one even mentions the FACT that maybe organized religion has been a little less than PURE and RIGHTEOUS throughout human history, and often the CAUSE and CATALYST to some rather un-savory behavior then they are automatically "Christian Bashing". Cripes, can anyone actually be that self-centerd, thin skinned and totally illogical? Apparently so.
I am so glad there are such fine examples of the exact mindset that I have been describing. Nothing quite as comforting as a True Believer threatening to get nasty, now is there? They never fail to prove my point. For a while there I thought there could actually be some mature discussions on these subjects, but I see I was mistaken.
Nothing quite as entertaining as a phonograph with a stuck needle now is there? Guess not...guess not...guess not...guess not.

Concernedperson, I used to make fun of the pop concept of "emotional intelligence" but it seems to me that you ought to go out and get yourself some, then mix in a measure of empathy and a double portion of humility. I've got to hand it to you though; if I were God, I would be totally dismayed at your embarrassing attempt to convert non-Christians. You want to make God happy, don't you?

Listen man, you need to take some time and rappel down your fjord of a soapbox and realize that when you mingle with us little non-Christians without an agenda, no one is out to get you. You're really jumping at shadows, you silly twitchy man, and YES, that's the sign of generalized paranoia, which I believe is a diagnosis the shrink, working in concert with the pharmacy, can help to remedy.

You protest too much. If you actually want to find out what makes a human, start with Shakespeare. He knew the human condition better than anyone. Take up a hobby, get out of your head. For all our sakes, stop embarrassing yourself publicly.

So Joe, why then do you and others start it? I don't like having everything I believe and hold sacred being portrayed the way it's being done. I want to live in peace, but with the many voices making the diatribe against what I hold sacred what else am I to do? If all of you would stop the blather about God, Christianity and the Bible I would stop the type of posting I am doing. I have my opinions also and they are no less or more important or valid than all of yours. So that's my plan just as before leave the christian religion alone and the elements of it and I will leave all of you alone. Nope. Wrong-o! I only proposed that they could be pre-biased. That is a fact. Read back if you don't agree.

Ya know, I always thought a coach was supposed to be a bit tough. Teams don't excel if the are just putting forth a minimum effort. How many Champions have achieved greatness by floating along? Not many.

If you were let go just for being an enthusiastic Coach attempting to develop a winning team, that just doesn't sound quite fair. Especially when you relocated to take the job.

Any chance of coaching at the High School? Recreational ? The rest of the job market looks pretty bleek around here currently.

Yeah really, what's up with that. I just hate when the comments look like broomstick handles. But then I'm probably just being wicked and spiteful. I guess, looking at the bright side... it does break the sentences up into visually poetic fragments. Still kinda hard to read though.

Shades of Gray I have posted logical facts, you merely rule them irrelevant. So I don't get your point. lol :0 When I have posted statements of fact you claim bias on the persons doing the research so making any arguement with you, or persons like you is a waste of ether! I told you before I am widely read, and have done lots and lots of research on the positions I take and they are not the product of blind faith or mind control. I can if needed and will when time allows me to produce this research in a logical fashion but not here on this blogsite. That would be unfair to the owners of this website. If your serious about debate contact me through the paper and I would enjoy debating through my e-mail account.

I second Jerry Linsten's "thumbs up" to the DJ for including the Locking Back section in the "on-line" section. And while we are giving out "thumbs up", I would like to give a great big thumbs up to the entire Linsten family whom I was fortunate to meet a week ago, right here in Charleston, SC., while attending the US Navy Retirement ceremony for Jerry's son Mike. Mike retired after 30 years of active Naval service, and by the way, enlisted in the Navy on the day Jerry retired from the US Air Force. Together, the Father and Son team, served our country proudly, for a total of 55 years. The entire Linsten family are true patriots and are to be commended.

Gimme a break. I support logical discussion and facts. Nothing more, nothing less. I have supported participants on both sides of many discussions, you however do not. You can only see issues from the stance dictated to you by your belief system. A very narrow perspective for any individual to have.

You (meaning EVERYONE, not just you Concerned) have every right to your beliefs and opinions, but it doesn't necessarily make them fact or support your argument with any substance.

Statement "A" plus Statement "B" must support the logical conclusion "C".

If "A" is a slightly far-fetched personal belief applied to every topic, and Statement "B" is an opinion based solely on Statement "A", then Conclusion "C" can only be irrelevant to the discussion, and frankly ridiculous. They call that Circular Argument, don't they? Don't answer that... they do. lol

It's pretty darn repetitive and boring. It solves nothing, convinces no one, and is very, very shallow.

Joe, going to baiting me again? You know that a diagnosis of a mental illness is the province of those trained to make them, and it would depend on the situation of the person. And you do know better, shame on you! Quit using abberations from the past and pointing to them as the normative practice of people of faith. For one even Muslims are mainly peaceful law abiding generous people, I've experienced it, so your slams just show how wicked and spiteful you and your supporters (like Shades of Gray) are. I write all of this not out of a sense of anything but good motive wanting all of the negative blathering about God, the bible and people of faith to end. If you want to continue this kind of debate then lets do it the way I suggested before. Oh that's right you refuse to because you might be overmatched and lose face in front of real people not just here on the blogsite where you remain mostly anonymous.

Thomas, I think you and I are close on this one although we are on opposite sides of the aisle. The bulk of the population comprise the middle 2/3 with the extreme flame throwers on either end. Emotional extremist verbiage is loudly trumpeted from both wings. I believe their are many religious folks in the Dems reluctant to express themselves for fear of being chastised by the extreme liberals, and republicans that may be more open to abortion possibilities (etc) than the extreme right wingers would approve of. Absurd reactions come forth like in California where the homosexuals instantly started hundreds of in-your-face protests when the vote didn't go their way. Of course that just angers the very people they are trying to persuade. The same resentment is generated when the evangelical preachers use the same in-your-face strategy to make their point, and of course they just anger the very people they are trying to persuade (?).
Men make plans, God chuckles.
