Yes sandwich, I too own these books and some others like them. They have helped me keep my sanity, and to see what others do not. While Joespoon and now Jackpine post, oftentimes they don't even see the motives and purposes behind their posts. Their ignorance to even their own intent, which I hope is done in ignorarance, because to consider otherwise would make them aware of their own evil, and compound their guilt to mankind. They (Joe and Jack) seem quite intent on merely stirring up the emotions of others and to try to lower their behavior to the level of their own. That was what I meant by life draining force, when someone departs from the normal patterns of writing, and communication in favor of a lower one they have been drained of their personhood to some extent.
While these persons claim to "know" truth, they will not accept any reasonable post that disproves their own tightly held ideas.
I know this because on a different blog, I have proven that what they have posted was in error of proven fact, the result was merely to stop replying to my posts, then to criticize the post, then finally to accuse me of changing the information to suit my own purposes all of this is exactly as one would expect from someone with some kind of agenda. To be sure there was some cognizance of their intent, thus their response to me. That is precisely what evil does when it is presented with the truth in response to its lies, it backs away when it is uncovered. A sort of self preservation kicks in and it flees to merely erupt somewhere else, or it disguises itself in a different form or tries to change its identity with the purpose of continuing its destructive course. Now if those reading this post disagree with me so be it, its intent has not been to defame or hurt anyone but merely to show to what extent evil tries to disguise itself in what seems wise and reasonable guises, while its true intent is otherwise. Not being content with its own destruction, it tries to take as many as it can with it. Which is why we need those who are able to spot it and respond appropriately to it. Those who do so must be emotionally mature. That does not mean that they won't from time to time fail themselves, but that when they do they will be able to recover and take up the challenge accordingly.

Thank you. Yes I read the book, I own it. I think it is a very good read. And yes it is one persons perspective on Human Evil. That being the author. I still highly recommend this book.

M. Scott Peck, noted psychiatrist has defined human evil as being anti-life, realizing this makes living in a small town like IF very interesting. One can see the effects of untreated and undiagnosed evil all around. One example is what happens when a person responds to someone's blogs in a way that is unpopular. They automatically become tagged as biased and become objects of hatred by those in opposition and proclaimed to be biggoted. Now I'm not claiming that this makes one evil, such a diagnoses belongs to a different discipline than the one I profess.
