Thanks Schmitty53. It's just the way we see it.
FYI: Rep. David Dill, the author of the bill that became law, happened to be in The Journal on Friday and wasn't as complimentary.
However, he did say the issue will be revisited by the Legislature this year.
I asked him to let us know what revisions he might suggest so we could compliment him for moving toward changing the law.

Gotta love it!!!! When the debate gets heated, and some "minor" [honest] comments are thrown around on here, the "LIBERALS" like to haul out the old "censor" button!! Remember, Freedom of Speech ONLY applies to the Liberals. They can't "HANDLE THE TRUTH", so they run to "big daddy" Daily Journal censors and see if us "right wingers" can be silenced! It's OK for them to preach love for the sinners [offense title's removed], but God forbid if a decent War Hero (McCain) wants to use his past to further his campaign. So, on Jan 20, 2009, the great Rev Wright will be singing to ALL gathered; "God Da** America, God Da** America", we're "coming home" to roost!! I do agree that some writers on here are commenting under more than one "Avatar". Some are trying (and able) to do just that, but I think I would have a hard time getting away with that!! LOL.... As Rev Wright would say, "IT SICKENS"!!

Why do some bloggers find it necessary to label others instead of simply sticking to the issues? I don't advocate censorship but do think that common courtesy and honesty should be requirements for reasonable debate. I'm only requesting that the newspaper abide by its own rules that state that false or misleading and abusive posts will be banned. Can't we just agree to disagree without getting personal or vindictive?

Sorry to disappoint you, Schmitty53, but it's a different person using the same blog tag of newshound who is writing to the Star Tribune. You should never make assumptions because when you assume.... oh well, you know the rest.
Whoever is editing these blogs should take a harder look at some of the comments posted here because there is a lot of misinformation being spread not to mention some hateful language tossed about.

Yes, it is an exciting time. It's time for younger generations to take the reins, it's time for my generation to step up to the plate. The Country is at a low point right now, yes, but now's the time when we need to come together. We live in a great country, and I find our present day challenges just that challenges. I don't think they are going to keep us down but make us better.
