  • Meeting the firefighters
    Students from Falls schools visited the International Falls Fire Department Monday to learn about fire safety. Students were taught about “stop, drop and roll,” along with what to do when they hear the fire detector. They were also reminded to tell their parents to check their fire detectors.   • Firearm safety
    Students complete the final requirement of a youth firearms safety class by firing rifles at Sportsman’s Paradise shooting range. Instructors Steve Borough, Russ Strand and Rodney Grill assist the students. It was the first class to use six new .22-caliber rifles purchased with a safety milestone awards grant from Boise Inc. and the Trails End Chapter of the Minnesota Deer Hunters Association.
