To the editor,
Does it really matter where our so called enemies are from? It is all based on lies anyway. Why should we believe anything we are told about enemies being from the Middle East or anywhere else when we are told nothing but lies to justify war anywhere so far? The basic problem seems to me to be war itself and the propaganda that goes with it. War has always been a means to bolster failing economies world wide.

To the editor,
I got this in an email and it just seemed to me that it is so true that it should be printed where more people could read it, so I am incorporating it in a letter.
This was written by a Canadian and I think it pertains to the USA, as well.

To the editor,
As city administrator for the city of International Falls, one of my jobs involves overseeing city elections. Our office also assists Koochiching County Auditor Bob Peterson, who is most directly responsible to ensure that the election process in all of Koochiching County is fair. I have watched Bob in five elections and assure voters that the elections he runs are fair. Plus, he has a lot of help from our election judges.

To the editor,

To the editor,
The words “shall” and “will” are instruments that government uses to coerce, regulate or modify the behavior of the governed. When government uses “power words” to control what we do on our owned or rented land, it is called a zoning ordinance.

To the editor,
The only way we the people are going to prevent vote count manipulation and the possible recount of our votes is by hand counting of our votes at the polling places, via we the people doing it ourselves — like in Oregon with mail-in voting.
Let's face it, our present system of voting is obsolete due to lack of integrity of the votes by machines whose counting methods are "proprietary information" not accessible to public scrutiny. We can change all of that via mail-in voting.

To the editor,
Wanna make history this election? Not for the sake of just doing so, but for the sake of following and getting back to our Minnesota Constitution which states that judges, “. . . shall be elected by the voters from the area which they are to serve.” If “we the people” elect Dan Griffith for appellate court judge, we will be making history.

To the editor,
I was glad to read that The Daily Journal will continue to try and provide fair coverage of our local government public meetings in spite of the wishes of one elected official who apparently would prefer certain types of actions or comments be swept under the rug.
My feeling is that whenever politicians try to manipulate or influence what appears in print, it is cause for concern to the public
Perhaps if more so-called “inflammatory and unnecessary comments” are reported, it might prompt our employees to work harder and resolve their differences.

To the editor,
I am a moderate. I want a functional conservative political movement as part of the balance of power. We do not have that.
For the past decade, the GOP has failed to provide the absolute basics of governance: competence, oversight, accountability and constitutionality. A President’s party must prevent abuses of power and correct them if they happen. Today’s GOP refuses.
