Moose Women
The Women of the Moose will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the downstairs clubrooms.

Voter Drive
Falls High School seniors may register to vote during second and third lunches Wednesday at the concession booth. Bring legal identification and Social Security Number.

Religious Education
Religious Education Mass and registration for First Reconciliation and Confirmation Grades 2 and 7-11 is planned for 7 p.m. Wednesday at St. Thomas Aquinas Church.

Loss groups
North Star Hospice loss evening support group will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Holiday Inn. (Note this is a change in date from the first Thursday.) The North Star Hospice daytime loss support group will meet at noon Wednesday at the Holiday Inn. Anyone who has experienced the death of a loved one or any other loss is welcome to attend either meeting.
Kabetogama AA
An AA meeting is planned for 7:30 p.m. Saturdays downstairs at the Kabetogama Methodist Church. Call 218-875-3048 for more information.

Teacher conferences
Falls High School teachers will be available for Parent-Teacher Conferences between the hours of hours of 5 and 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and Oct. 9.

ATV safety training
All terrain vehicle safety training will be conducted Oct. 23 and 24 (no school day) for youth 12-15 years old. A parent or guardian must register their child in person in the Community Education Office, located by the pool at Falls High School (door No. 5). Call 283-2571, ext. 186, with any questions.

Moose events
The Moose Lodge will open at noon Saturday with Bingo beginning at 2 p.m. A stuffed pork chop supper will be served at 6. Reservations are needed and may be made by calling 283-3615.

Referee clinic
A USA Hockey Referee Clinic is set for 10 a.m. Saturday at Kerry Park Arena. All kids and adults who wish to referee hockey this season must attend this clinic. Bring skates, helmet, and whistle. For more information, contact the Recreation Department at 283-2571, ext 138.

Homecoming change
The Pepfest and Homecoming Coronation will be conducted from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, not Tuesday, at Falls High School. The public is welcome to attend.

Teen Gaming
Teen Gaming at the Library is planned for 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Teens in grades 7 and above are welcome to bring a friend or come alone to play Guitar Hero, Dance Dance Revolution, Mario Super Strikers and more.

Weight Watchers
Weight Watchers will meet Thursdays at Zion Lutheran Church for weighs-in at 11:45 a.m. and 5:15 p.m., with meetings at 12:15 and 5:45 p.m.

Falls High School Class of 1937 will meet at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Rose Garden Restaurant.

Teacher conferences
Indus School Parent-Teacher Conferences are set for 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. to noon Friday. There is no school Friday. Parents are encouraged to meet their child’s teacher.

Homecoming

Removal of markers
As of Tuesday, the Koochiching County Sheriff’s Boat and Water Patrol will be pulling the hazardous markers from Black Bay and the waters within Koochiching County’s jurisdiction. The sheriff urges all boaters to use caution when traveling in these areas. The channel markers and all other markers within Voyageurs National Park will be pulled at a later date.
